In September 1988, the Law Faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo passed a resolution amending a comprehensive non-discrimination policy to include "sexual orientation" with particular application to employers seeking to recruit at the Law School. Employers using the Law School placement services were required to sign a non-discrimination statement.
